Julie has over twenty years experience as both an entrepreneur and marketing professional across various industries and disciplines. At Hughes Klaiber she works with a broad range of clients helping them sell and acquire middle market businesses as well as consults with smaller stage companies who are preparing for growth.

In 2005, she co-founded Blow, a beauty services and product business, which is recognized for having pioneered 'blow dry bars' as a new retail category. After 6 years of building the brand and managing it's daily operations, she successfully sold her business in 2011, working in conjunction with Hughes Clabber. Julie also spent 7 years at IBM, both in the US and in Europe, where her roles included managing global advertising for IBM's small business diversion and developing demand generation programs globally. Julie holds and MBA from Columbia business school with a major in entrepreneurial studies and a B.A. from Hamilton College.

Having sold her business, Julie completely understands all the issues, challenges, and concerns associated with making the decision to sell, finding the right buyer, and executing the transaction.
